Lavender Fields Alpacas was established in 2002 and we're excited about the new Aviator babies that were born in 2007! The Super SAM bloodlines are evident in his cria, including stature, crimp, coverage and temperament. These babies are consistently exceptional. Shakespeare in particular is simply breathtaking!

Our business is built on integrity and a lifestyle filled with joy. Where great bloodlines come to play ... means we raise healthy, friendly huacayas with outstanding bloodlines. We breed alpacas for solid conformation, excellent fleece and an enjoyable temperament. We are located in Elizabeth, Colorado, about an hour southeast of Denver. Our herd of 35 alpacas are visible from the house with 40 acres to graze. We take pleasure in the everyday chores as it gives us the opportunity to interact with these treasured creatures on a regular basis.

We enjoy a special theme for naming the babies. All crias born at Lavender Fields alpacas are named after artists. The first genre was sculptors, then opera singers, followed by dancers, next actors, then poets ... and so on. 2007 is the year of the Author, including Alexandre, Louisa May, Lady Pearl Noir, Beatrix, Grisham, Twain, Silverstein, Tolkien and Shakespeare.

In 2008, our plans are to name our latest mini-herd of cria after painters...oil painters, pencil artists, Impressionists, water colorists, etc. If you have a favorite painter that you would like to suggest, please drop us a line and make your choice known to us, we'd love to hear what you think.
